Sevoflurane suppresses central nervous system background activity, but in animal experiments, deep anaesthesia activates the electroencephalograph. But some authors reported that neither % 0.9 NaCl nor N2O causes convulsive activity, either at deep levels of anaesthesia or in the presence of hypocapnia and auditory stimulation. Our aim in this article is to report a 7 years old boy who developed tonic and clonic seizure-tike movements of the extremities during induction of anesthesia with sevoflurane. And we concluded with our observation and knowledge o literature that, sevoflurane should be carefuled in epileptic children.
