KRONİK HEPATİT B ENFEKSİYONU İLE BİRLİKTE ADDİSON HASTALIĞI

In this case report, a 65-years-old female with hyperkalemia who was refractory to treatment of hyperkalemia is presented. She had severe nausea, vomitting and chest pain. In her physical examination blood pressure was 90/60 mmHg, and she had ascites. Her laboratory test showed hyperkalemia, 7 mEq/L, and high T waves (8 mV) in VI, V2 derivatives in electrocardiography. Basal cortisol level had been found 6 microg/dL 1 mg tetracosactide test was performed and cortisol level was increased to 6.5 (g/dL in the first hour. Addison's disease was diagnosed. Chronic hepatitis B infection was also diagnosed. This is the first report of Addison's disease which may be associated with chronic hepatitis B infection in literature.
